Amy Aves Challenger

The first series of acrylic/collage works below are most recent, as I'm currently exploring acrylics and collage on canvas. In this work, I use bits of my heart, layered in over the years as an illustrator, graphic designer, and art director. With each piece to I attempt to reach into the past at thrift shops, in libraries, music stores, my basement, and even in trash bins, forging layers between the past, present, and future on the canvas. I explore several mediums simultaneously in my sketches and paintings. Though I prefer to work most with my hands these days, I still enjoy electronic illustration projects from time-to-time.
