I write. I paint. I draw. I layer.
I sift for harmony beneath chaos.
Everywhere, there are clues about how we connect to the world around us — in veins of leaves, a church, a stranger's hands, a single line of poetry, in books, letters, and even in the patterns of a computer chip. Connections live in math equations, sheets of music, in litter, graffiti, newsprint, and in maps, with boundaries designed to divide us or bring us together.
If I'm lucky, my work, whether it be a drawing, collage, a painting, a novel, an essay, or poetry— will illuminate meaning that tranforms with each observer before it is passed on.
To the right are a few of my recent fine art works from two series. For more fine art, click here. For writing, click here.
